Sherry Schreiber achieved her international reputation as a tapestry weaver in the late seventies, when there was a resurgence of this art form. She focused on large-scale contemporary works for corporate lobbies, banks and restaurants, as well as private collectors.
Ms. Schreiber learned her craft while living in Sweden at Handartbetetsvänners vävskola. This accounts for the Scandinavian influence throughout her work.
Her prior formal schooling was at The Pratt Institute where she studied interior design.
A harmonious environment is always a priority.
Now she is turning her considerable talents to creating a line of home decor called Larkspur Lane Studio.
